So, counting the pot really isn't as simple as every book I've read makes it seem to be. It is a very taxing task. You have to count the small bets (then convert them to big ones at the turn) along with keeping track of the number outs you have to your drawing hand, while remembering who raised and what position they're in and also who re-raised, the number of players, what ideal flop you would like, blah blah blah a million different minor facts. Is there any solid practice habit or routine that more experienced players have developed in order to maintain this series of facts that happen regularly during the hand? What is a good way to practice counting the pot in conjuction with the other responsibilities required for a serious game? Mediocre hands are so common that this is really something that I want to master. Whatever advice can be offered would be helpful. thanks
