middle dude posts SB(150)

Heros cards KcJc

big stack raises to 600.
other little stack reraises to 860(allin)

IMO, You have a chance to triple up here, so I think you might as well call. This could make or break you but at the same time if you win your in a good spot to get better than 3rd. This is just my thoughts.

BTW, with blinds as much as they are you may be forced to put your chips in with something you wouldnt want to so get them in there while you have a decent starting hand.

This is a pretty naive question, but if the money is top 3, and players 3 and 4 both get knocked out on the same hand, who gets paid for 3rd place? Is it the person with more chips at the start of the hand, or the person who pushed all-in first, or is it a split?

my first attempt at ICM, take it for what it's worth

I see 5 relevant scenerios:
1. Fold and big stack wins
2. Fold and small stack wins
3. Call and lose
4. Call and win, big stack wins side pot
5. Call and win, small stack wins side pot

I put the $EV for these 5 at:
1. 0.219
2. 0.0496
3. 0
4. 0.3009
5. 0.2629

Assuming the hero, big stack and small stack all have an equal chance at winning the hand (an obviously flawed assumption), i put folding at $0.13, and calling at $0.09. A clear fold, yes? The chance of you winning would have to be greater than 46% to make this +$EV, and KJs almost certainly isn't that much of a favorite.
