I think the check on the river is ok, but something in my gut tells me that the turn check was CANDY ASS. Villian in this Hand is an Elephant who calls %60 preflop and is only about average in aggressiveness.

You have to bet that turn, you shouldnt be giving people with a diamond a free look, also, even if they didnt have a diamond they might bluff at you on a river diamond because they think you might be afraid of it.

Yeah, you gotta bet the turn there.

After showing weakness on the turn, I think you could even make a case to bet the river when he checks, but I probably wouldn't bother.

Yep. And if villian is tricky (search for Clarkmeister posts on flushes/rivers), he's likely to bet 5th street regardless of what he's holding when you check the turn.
