These are party 22s.

Probably a fold with the queens? Villain had made a monkeyish play or two already, which is why I called...

In hand two, I'm happy with my check out of the BB, but if I was button or CO, would a raise to 90 or so be appropriate, or not this early? As it went, I was just trying to extract the most money. My thought was the last player might not oblige a c/r, so I bet the flop. I thought a check on the turn might look scared and allow me a c/r. Should I just have bet again, or did I get more money on the river than I would have by betting out the turn and river?

QQ hand - I call that in a second. What are you worried about?

99 - I think betting the turn is a better strategy than trying a C/R. He called your flop bet and the Ace is a bit of a scare card. I put him on someting weak or a draw, so I think making a decent bet is your best option.

With the QQ hand, I'm mainly worried about JJ or AA/KK, maybe 55... I can't get past the fact that I only push in a situation like this as a trick to look weak so I'll get calls. But the fish just love to pushy pushy...

hand 1 is fine, im assuming that this is somewhat of a bad beat post. if he triped up, or had kk or aa...well thats poker. but there are so many monkeys that would push with any jack, or even straight draw to make this play possible.

hand 2. im not sure why you didnt bet the turn. you are very likely to be ahead, and it looks like hes drawing. dont make the cardinal sin of letting him hit his card for free.

Hand 1: This is a sort of almost bad beat post. He called my raise with J5o. The 2 on the turn gave me the better two pair.

Hand 2: This opponenet had looked willing to make raises into checks. Am I getting too fancy here looking for the c/r?
