According to my I-tunes Frank Sinatra is easy listening which sounds about right but I am not 100% sure if this is correct.

I might say Big Band...and it looks like allmusic.com agrees, but includes:
Big Band
Ballads
Swing
Pop
Soft Rock
Standards
Traditional Pop
Vocal Jazz
Show Tunes

Standards. Jamie Collum is vv good, hes a "new rat pack type". If you want older stuff, Mel "the velvet fog" Torme is great.

These are the first pop stars - Frank is considered the first.
Most of his songs are jazz but would be classified as pop of its day. Now his songs are standards.

I didn't even know there was a genre called standards. I always thought of him as a jazz singer, in fact in a lot of ways he's the quintessential jazz singer. he started out working for tommy dorsey, he sang with count basie, worked with quincy jones, nelson riddle and a zillion other great jazz arrangers, always had great jazz musicians in his band.
a lot of the traditional jazz repotoire actually comes from frank in many ways, in that jazz musicians often learn tunes from his recordings and in a lot of cases his rendition is considered the definitive version.

I list him as "swing", which perhaps is a liberal use of the term.
I am a Buble fan too. His Spiderman theme (believe it or not) is fantastic. One cross-over suggestion off the top of my head is Bobby Darin.

I never heard of Buble, but based on this thread, I may have to go search this cat out.
I found a "Rat Pack" DVD at Target one day last year, and it was freaking AWESOME. Comes with a CD of the boys in concert. It's my favorite CD, has been since I first heard it.
