In my home 2/4 nl game I have been experimenting with a new style of play that seems to be working. My basic strategy is the same every week. It is to play solid but to attempt a bluff whenever a decent situation occurs, until I get caught. I then make sure everyone at the table see's my bluff. From then on I play tight, aggressive, and by the book. I have had moderate success so far, showing a decent profit over 15 out of 20 sessions. Can anyone tell me any obvious flaws to this style that I may be missing or am I on the right track.?

there's no simple plan to win at poker, it's just not that simple.

this is a basic case of game theory at use.
Eventually you will strive to find the right amount of times where your opponents are unsure whether or not you are bluffing and - of even greater importance - to get to the point where both folding or calling you down everytime would be an unprofitable play.
But for the most part Justin is right ... it's just not this simple.
Good thinking, it shows a learning process taking place.
Keep learning.

Sometimes a wrench is far more applicable than a screwdriver but it's good to have them both in your well stocked toolkit.
