The more I think about this hand the more stupidly I think I played it. Villain has stolen my blind from the SB 3x in the previous 3 orbits and I thought it was time to make a stand. 11 players left from a field of 1250, average stack is around 100k. I Would like to know your views on this hand as looking back I'm not so sure of my play.

I wouldn't mind a stop and go in this situation.

If you call, and the flop comes like that, even without the 5 there is a chance you drive him out with an A on the board.

I'm pushing PF here as well. He's done this the past three times and he wasn't holding a QQ hand every time. He got lucky that he was bullying you and picked up a hand when he continued to bully and you got lucky with your set.

you can't do a stop n go when he is first to act.

Der. Mis-read original post. I stand corrected.

I like your push. You gotta push back against constant blind steals from a particular player. 55 is a great hand to do it with as it is most likely a slight favorite if called, but he will usually fold anyway. You just got unlucky that he showed QQ (and lucky that you tripped). Hell, once the blinds get up this high, you want to be reraising PF at times anyway. Gotta resteal occasionally. And again, 55 is a fine hand to play with.

agreed, with your read on this guy, he's stealing with anything, he just happened to have QQ. i like a stop and go or the push here.

this hand plays itself, bullying or not. The stack sizes make this a very standard push.

didn't even see that he has 8-9BB after this.

Thanks for replys, my logic was that I had still had some f.e over him as 2/3 of his stack remained and at worse I was a very small favourite against two overs. Nice to see I didn't make a mess of pushing.
