That was an ugly beat, and i can't see how u could get away from it. He seemed very eager to go in on the draw.

I was at your table, btw. I'm Rabagast. I made an idiot move at a blind steal attempt and ran into AK and deserved a beating. Bought in at Step 3, and am really disappointed with my play. Was planning to just have a good time at the table and dont think too much about the fact that it is a 1000 dollar SNG, but made the old "panic move" that i used to do before when I start to fall behind the field in chips.

Try to project the likely betting ...

If you call the flop bet and he has you beat, where can you get out of the hand? Chances are, you will bust out here if he has AK, A6, A2 etc. How can you know that you're beat? The only good outcome for calling is catching a J and getting the better two pair. Too unlikely.

Calling just about commits you to the hand, and gets you no info. This is rarely correct. What will you do if a blank falls on the turn and he bets another t250?

Can you raise? You have TPGK. I would like to raise to see where I stand, but any significant raise commits me, so I think the choice is to push or fold.

Pushing has the advantage of possibly forcing him to fold for lack of correct drawing odds. I don't see a better alternative.

I think gasgod nailed it. Push or fold the flop.

I like pushing especially if the raiser seems loose, or if you feel like a lot of the other players at the table are better players than you. It might be the best chance you have to double up, or at least take down a nice pot if villian folds.
