I do not remember what hapenned in season 1 of the WPT. What did he say/do that makes people hate him so much?

What should I expect in tonight's episode?

Imagine a combination of players like Matusow, Arieh, and Hellmuth, but with an accent.

I think Tony G is a nice guy who was edited by the WPT to look like a twat.

Edited? Did they put those words in his mouth?

From what I've read about tonight's show, it's more of the same from the first season.

From season 1, Tony G seems to be lack self-esteem, and to make up for that berates players and tries to put people on tilt with nagging comments. His mouth doesn't zip up when he's on a roll /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

In season 1, they showed a clip where Howard Lederer -- arguably a gentleman of pokre - refused to shake Tony G's hand after getting busted out, and looked throughly disgusted with Tony G.

But he is a fun character to watch on TV no doubt.

With good reason. Search the r.g.p. archives for Lederer's recap of the incident.

Expect stupidity like 66 AI called by J8o heads up...

So is it just me or does Tony G have the most obvious tell in the world, i.e., when he wants you to fold he shuts the hell up to let you think? Did it just now with T8o, did it before with the bluff with 84.

From the rail and not emotionally involved it's much easier...

But, I also noticed Sunar is twitching a lot when he's weak, watch his neck.

It seemed like Sunar's twitches were somewhat involuntary. Perhaps he has Tourette's syndrome?

That's exactly what I thought at when I watched the coverage. Not a good thing to have when you're a poker player.

I don't think Tony G is "hilarious," or "good for the game."

I guess you find watching someone being an obnoxious jerk entertaining, not me.
