any read on CO? why'd you check the turn? were you putting him on KK or QQ? from the looks of the hand it looks like he had AK.

Cap preflop OOP v. 2 players. Say MP2 has a small pair, both both having him fold and having him call 2 are better than letting him in for 1 BB. Why are you not betting the turn? I don't understand. Scared of KK/QQ? Bet/fold to a raise seems like a better line in that case.

I would cap preflop....No reason to get fancy at a small stakes table...

Flop is good

Turn, once again, no need to get fancy...Bet...If he raises, 3 bet, or call down...I'm not sure what I would do if he raised...QQ is not likely, as he probably wouldn't have raised the flop...KQ is a possibility, but you still have outs to it, so I think a 3-bet here is warranted...

River, good...

I imagine you lost 1.5-2 BBs with your line

This would be awful...I don't care who the CO is...

I don't know how much you know about one another, but I don't mind the non-cap if you feel it gives too much away.
(I'm assuming it does).

But, why not bet on the turn? I don't want to give away that free card.

i like your line. im not really sure if i like mine though.

ill post results: i had JJ.

if you bet the turn i muck. your line made me think there was a chance you might have been in there with TT.

you lose value against AK, but you gotta assume im going to bet that turn. the way i played it its very possible youre dead to your bigger set.

Well, given your hand, there are more QQ JJ combos out there than AK's.....so I like this line if that's what you are putting him on

thanks. i figured if you hit the set i still had to check call it down.

you can also notice i didn't post my chip spewing AJ hand which i thought i played like a total douche... but regardless, i'm glad i'll be getting these lessons while the stakes are 3/6

you played the AJ fine. you obviously want to see a showdown, and im going to bet a better hand. you actually had me considering laying down AK there, so props to that.
