A few years ago my niece (who was about 19 at the time) stayed with me for a couple months. During that time I taught her how to play hold'em. She played with play money a bit online and we played a lot of hu mathces live.
She stayed with me again this February and sat in with me during some online play. We also played some more hu. She has a good idea how to play preflop and if she hits anything is ok postflop.
I always figured she would do ok live because she is now a 22 year old, tall, well built, good looking girl who likes to show some cleavage. In short she is seriously distracting to a lot of guys.
Well she called to tell me she was at an afterhours club the other night and they had a $1/2 game going. So she sat in with 9 guys and only $5 in front of her. She had it up over $100 at one point and walked away with $70.
I'm pretty sure she also scored some free drinks.
She also said most of them didn't even know how to play poker and she had to explain a few rules to them.
Anyhow I couldn't be prouder of her so I had to make a post here about it.
