I am a cash game player dabbling alot lately in SNG's. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Early last night at a very fishy 5 + .50 table this hand came up.

Blinds are still at the lowest level - 10-20.
BB - Villain - stack is down from t1500 to t1100 by calling like a fish in the past several hands.
Me, on the CO, stack is t1950

In LP with 33, I limp, BB minraises, like 7 people including me call. Pot is t280.

Flop is J, 6, 3 rainbow. BB goes all in, folded to me.

Is that just a no brainer call, even this early? If so, at what level is it not? Bear in mind that in these games I can just fold another orbit and almost cerainly be in the final 5 with a medium stack.

At that level i'd say 999 times out of 1000 you'll win the hand, and the other time is when the guy with KQo hits his runner-runner straight.

you can multiply that buy-in by 20 and Im still making that call...at the 5s you may be looking at A high.

Very easy call for me for a $5 buy in no doubt about it.

Easy call.

It is unlikely that somebody plays JJ or 66 this fast. A vast majority of the time you are way ahead here. If you aren't going to make this call, than fold 33 pre-flop.

That's a call you make every day and 2x on Sundays.

BBs push usually does not represent immense strength, even in a bigger game. Go for it.

If you are not going to call here, why limp with 33? Are you hoping you flop quads? If the guy has a higher set, no way he is pushing all in on the flop, even at the $5 level. This is an insta-call.

Well thats exactly what they did, which is why I wondered whether everyone makes that call. Thanks for affirming my call.

Everyone seems to be focusing on the fact that no one at a $5 would push with 66 or JJ, an assumption I think is wrong. That being said, the only way I'm folding is if BB turns over his cards and shows me the larger set. Even then, I might have to touch them to make sure they were real before I actually fold my 3's. Chalk it up to bad luck and fire up a new game hoping to find yoruself in the exact same situation (minus the larger set of course...).

Add him to your buddy list. If he plays JJ or 66 that fast you can probably take him down rather quickly in future SnGs. Im guessing he had 66 and was hoping for calls from AJ, KJ, and/or QJ (JT).

If this is truely the case, than you should fold 33 pre-flop and certainly not call a raise with it. No way I'm folding a set here though.

I'm guessing he said, "Wow, I have a good hand, I should go all-in!!!"
