Why did you 3-bet preflop?

Given the preflop action, I think your line is fine.

what do other people think about the preflop 3-bet? i thought it was okay, but i could be way off.

I'd fold pre-flop, but the rest looks fine. Raising the flop or turn will lose money to a better ace and possibly push out KK, QQ, etc. The problem with popping the river is that each additional bet from UTG makes a big ace more likely and a smaller pair less likely. If he did push a pocket pair this far he'll certainly pay off the raise, but I don't think he'll have it quite often enough. Also, if he's going nuts with something like KQ /images/graemlins/club.gif or worse, he won't call the raise.

nah you played it fine. A raise could either cost you extra bets if you are crushed, or get him to fold a worse hand instead of bluffing at you....absent reads I play it this way.

I fold this Pre flop...but if I did play it, 3 betting it is the way to go.

I jsut call down, and the only place I would raise is the river, but the fact that he keeps betting makes me think hes got a big ace, so I prolly just call here too.
