I've been in Alaska for the last 5 days, and just roll into SoCal this morning. Naturally, I flip on the radio on the way home from the airport. Arrow 93.1 FM is my station of choice, of course. Except that instead of hearing Bob Seger, Lynryd Skynyrd, or Led Zepplin, I hear No Doubt. Yes, you read that correctly, No Doubt. Before they go to commercial break, I hear blah, blah, blah, 93.1 Jack FM.

WTF is this Jack FM crap?

Ours is called Dave FM. 92.9.

Not bad, it's like a 90s alt/ some 90s rock/ some classic rock.

I guess this is why KLOS 95.5 has been running promos about how they've been playing classic rock since the 60's and they'll be around forever?

Also, how do you play classic rock in the 60's? Did they play 30's rock back then?

WTF

Can somebody tell me a classic rock station that I'll pick up while driving between orange county and ventura.

From San Diego to Orange County its 101.5 or 103.7 and then in LA its 93.1 and then I switch to KTYD 99.9 in Santa Barbara.

KLOS was always better than Arrow anyways.

I think it's an improvement...Arrow was really getting tired, endlessly playing the same Boston/BTO/Foreigner songs over and over and over and over and over...

Now, they are playing mostly good songs, and a wide variety of them.

Sixteen replies, and no one mentions satellite radio?

I plan on taking vacation time when Howard Stern debuts on Sirius. My imagination is unable to conjure how wild that is going to be.

Maybe he's related to the newly created 92.9 Dave FM here in Atlanta. It sounds like pretty much the same kind of programming switch too. Weird.

EDIT: shadow beat me. I'm an idiot.

Is it blasphemy to say that I'd rather dig out my left eyeball with a spoon than listen to "More than a Feeling" , "Takin' Care of Business" , or "Head Games" one more time?

There was a thread along time ago (I searched but to no avail) where people were talking about songs they listen to while playing poker, daryn said the karate kid song, I DLed it and think it is awsome.

Well I really don't know what to say to both of you. About half of arrow's playlist was wankery soft rock [censored]. Sure, KLOS plays many of the same songs, but in general it's hard rock.

So I guess it really depends on your personal tastes. If you like wankery soft rock [censored], then I understand. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
