This is just for curiosities sake.

I'm sitting UTG+1 and open raise with AJo. The player immediately to my left cold calls. This player is a 22% VPIP and a 6% raisor, so not a bad player by any indication of their PF numbers. AF is reasonable as well. And this data is over 1200+ hands.

Another player also calls. The flop comes 355, suits moot for this.

I bet, my buddy to my left folds...

Any guesses here? I'm stumped what he could have had. I was thinking at the time it was a foolish bet on my part giving him a good chance of having a middle pair.

So he's just slightly loose if at all and mildly aggressive preflop. ATs-AQs, AQ, KQs or even JTs/QJs? Basically I'd guess some broadway cards that he decided to give up on right away.

I assume guys with those numbers coldcall AK/AQ rather than 3-betting. And I've made myself very aware in B&M games of players who I suspect coldcall rather than 3-betting AK and make sure not to give them too much action with AQ/AJ/AT.

The other theory is that he coldcalled with suited b'ways expected a multiway pot.
