I would have made a bet when you hit your boat. Don't bring down the house, but something modest will get some of the slackers out of the pot or perhaps some extra money in it. As far as the river play goes, I say push him. He's probably got that 10 and thinks his set is good, or perhaps he's hit that straight or in best case, the flush.

Why do I want the slackers out of the pot?

whats the issue? PUSH. If he has a better full house, he has a better full house. But I think you probably got him and will double up.

you could argue for betting the turn or not betting the turn. the reason for betting the turn would be building the pot, not getting out the wimps, but you risk someone folding a hand they would've made on the river. i like the check myself but i know a lot of people will disagree with me there. river is a push every day of the week. also, i myself would've probably folded the flop, but calling is not so bad really.

Yeah, in retrospect, pushing the river is a "have to", but calling the flop for that cheap I think is a good move too. I still would have bet the turn...

You absolutely positively have to bet the turn.
