Well if you read my 1st post you now know I won that hand and was able to accumulate up to about $15,000 in chips which was around 22nd out of 35 players. I spent the next 2 hours folding rag after rag and trying to remain patient as my roommates eagerly watched.
I had been moved tables during this and went from being big stack to 4th lowest =(
My table image had to have been extremely tight from my folds. My defining moment...

UTG $22,000
HERO UTG+1 10,300
UTG+2 19,000
MP 17,000
MP1 7,000
MP2 5,500
Button 11,000
SB 1,600
BB 15,500

Blinds 200/400
HERO has 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif9 /images/graemlins/club.gif
UTG folds, HERO calls, folded to Button who min raises to $800, SB and BB call. Hero Calls.

FLOP is 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif10 /images/graemlins/heart.gifK /images/graemlins/club.gif
SB goess all in for remaining $800, BB raises to $1600

What is your play here???

Answer to come...

you dont wanna go broke by drawing and there's an all-in guy, but you have a lot of hand. I'd call and hope to make it on the turn.

If this is the 33R sStars one going on right now I'll be extremely pissed off if lijim wins the wsop spot.

He got the big tourney chip lead after sucking hard when I got him all in w just a few outs... /images/graemlins/mad.gif /images/graemlins/mad.gif

So you're saying you'd CALL about 20% of your stack, and fold if you dont hit on the turn?

you're better than even money. call and hope to hit the turn. see how he plays 4th street.

I'm calling here as well. If you miss the turn may get a free card.

What happened in your TT hand?

you'll probably be able to get a free card on the turn cuz ur in position and people like to check down with a player already all-in, unless they hold strong hands

in the 10 10 hand i called because all of you pointed out i would have only 1300 left to play if I folded, I see my mistake was not pushing on the turn now. i was just scared of the str8 on flop.
anways i call and he shows Q8o LMAO! he then clicked sit out and let himself die to blinds after that...
I will post answer to this hand in a few..

well i did in fact push thinking that the BB was just trying to isolate vs the SB. in fact he was not and he turned over his pocket rockets... they held up and i finished in 30th place.
After I took the time to think about, I dont understand why I didnt just call the 1200 and then fold the turn if he pushed on me. I spent so much time thinking hands through and playing smart only to put my tournament life on a draw, a GREAT draw but still a draw no less. bad tournament mistake #1 for me but a lesson learned.
Thanks for your responses guys I appreciate it all

I dont think this was a bad mistake at all. These are plays you prob need to make and win to win this tourney. Just because you lost to the best pf starting hand in hold'em doesnt mean it was a mistake in the heat of the moment.
