What is the best book or video to learn the ins and outs of NL Hold'Em? I've seen some by McEvoy, and other videos by Hellmuth and Lederer.

Any of these good, or is there something better?

1 book by Harrington, 2 books by Ciaffone, and supersystem 2.

In terms of dvd, the Lederer more secrets one.

What about Howard Lederer's original "Secrets" DVD? What about the "Tells" All DVD?

The tells all dvd is a summary of his secrets and more secrets. The first secrets is an introduction, more secrets is advanced strategies. Harrington on Hold em is a really good book, that is centered on NL tournaments, but would apply to any cash game. I like the NL chapter in supersystem 2 too.

He tells all the secrets in tells all so there aren't any real secrets left for secrets but then more secrets tells more secrets so the bastard was lying when he made tells all because if tells all told all then he wouldn't have more secrets to tell in more secrets.

The truth is that Jake was joking and all the DVD:s and books in his first post are horrible. Avoid them. (That was an old joke, but the pics made it a lot better /images/graemlins/grin.gif)

For books you should get Harrington on Hold'em and Ciaffone and Reubens Pot-Limit and No-Limit Poker. I haven't read Super System, but I have heard both that it's NLHE chapter is very good and that it is quite a dangerous approach to the game for anyone below expert level.

Also, Ed Miller and David Sklansky is writing a book on NLHE cash games that will be available in aug/sep or so. Should be good.

The More Hold'em Secrets DVD by Lederer has got good reviews from credible people.

That Sopranos one is too funny. Well done cover. I wonder if they actually posed for that or if someone made it with cut and paste/Photoshop.
