This is a hand from the Final Table of the 20NL last night on Stars. First place pays $3800 and that's what I'm shooting for. Villain is very loose and could be calling pre-flop with a variety of hands. The previous orbit I made the exact same raise and flop bet with JJ on a low card flop and he folded (I showed the hand.) What do I do after he raises here?

I would figure he has the Ace of Hearts, maybe low pair too.

Villian is loose and your main objective is to come in first, I'd find it very hard to lay this down! Push.

Good question, can't wait to here how this played out. Hope this propelled you to a win, although these endings aren't normally happy.

First of all, you are very likely the favorite. Secondly, even if you are a dog, you are getting a little less than 3:1 on a push. So even if he has a set, yyou still have the odds to call. Basically the only hands you would not have the odds to call against are a made flush or overpair with a heart. Since you cannot put him on such a narrow range of hands, this is an autocall IMO.

Yeah, you gotta push here. I would put villian on the A or K of hearts or a 7. If you win this pot you are looking pretty for 1st.

Pretty easy push unless table totally rockish pf, then I think twice.

Well I did indeed push, he turned over Kh8h /images/graemlins/blush.gif and I was drawing nearly dead. I guess I was surprised that a made flush would bet so strongly here, but it turns out it was fortuitous for him as the 4th heart hit the turn, which probably freezes the action for him if he just calls my bet.

I was pretty upset with myself after the hand, but I guess I do feel better as no one here put him on a flush either. thanks for the input everyone....

I played a simular hand today w/ 99.
And mucked an overpair to a CR all in on a str8t board.
Asked for a show but no.
I will never no.
He could have had 10 10, 88 or the the str8t. Even a set. But perhaps the draw?
