15-30 hold'em has been the "staple" game at Foxwoods for quite a while. Unless there's special circumstances, it's always going, and it's always the biggest hold'em game in the room.

They won't be spreading that game for the rest of the year, as of Wednesday the 9th. It will be replaced by 20-40. This is good news by itself, because they often have a hard time starting a 10-20 game while there is a 5-10 w/ kill and 15-30 game going. That's not the really good news though. The really good news is, there will be a $3 maximum rake until Dec. 31st.

Also, players will get 3 "wampum points" per hour instead of the usual 1 for that limit. For those that don't know, Foxwoods comp system is based on "wampum points". Each point gets you a dollar worth of food/services at the casino. Limits from 5-10 to 15-30 get .50 per hour.

I think this is great news for the players. I'm guessing the $3 rake has no chance of staying after Dec 31, but it'll be nice while it lasts.
