MP1 is a maniac of the worst(best really) kind. VPIP 84.62 PFR 12.31. He 3 bet me with K6 stuied before. Will normally bet and raise with any type of hand post-flop.

Is my line terrible here? I'm still a pretty novice player, I tend to unravel a little while playing with maniacs, and it's really costly.

Preflop and flop are good. The turn bet doesn't make sense. I would just check call again. Then I'd check call the river. Why'd you bet the turn?

Your turn bet has me puzzled, since there's almost zero chance it gets checked through, but a very good chance you'll be raised.

I think against this guy I would check/call the turn and then bet/call the river.

On the flop you have a gut-shot, a backdoor flush draw and possibly some other outs against a maniac. Your hand could even be best at this stage. Yet you elected not to bet I´m not saying that this is totally wrong but.....
.....then you bet the turn when a 6 fell and you still have nothing more than A high and the backdoor draw is gone?

The call on the river is ok in my view.

I'm not really sure what I was thinking with the turn, in retrosepct it is a pretty bad bet. Is there anything I can do in this situation besides calling him down? That seems so passive to me, and makes me feel all sorts of icky inside.

My play against maniacs usually becomes erratic, anyone know of a remedy for this? Should I play less hands and play a little less aggressively in his pots to get to showdowns?

check/call, check/call, bet the river
