PP $5 Limit Tournament, 3 players left
Both players are pretty solid.

This hand is from memory, since I didn't save the log. I was just considering whether I got a bad beat on the guy or not.

300/600 Blinds

SB (~2500)
Hero (~5000)
Button (~4000)

Preflop: Hero has 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif
Button calls. SB completes. BB checks.

Flop: 7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif
SB checks. Hero bets. Button raises. SB calls. Hero ??

If you're curious, results in white:
<font color="white"> My read here was that Button probably hit the nut straight playing (JTs), but...
Hero calls.
Turn: 8d
I'm pretty sure you can guess what happens at this point.
Button has straight, 7 to J. SB mucks at turn.

Do you see the problem with this statement?

3bet the flop and lead the turn. A free card on the turn is too big of a risk to check to the button.
