Villain is real tight after 30 hands. VPIP = 10%, has only shown down KQo, and did not raise that hand. Could be card dead, could be tight.

With that turn card, if he had a piece on the flop, I'm dead. If he didn't have a piece, but had say, a non-set making mid pocket pair, I'm also dead only to an ace.

Should I have played differently on the turn and river?

This looks good to me.

I think this is fine. That's a pretty terrible board for your ace-high.

Sometimes I think I push too hard with my blind steals. And the posted hand seems like a situation where it's best not to.

Cool, thanks.

Sub-question: If the turn is a diamond, do we continue the semi-bluff? (My instinct is yes, but I'm interested in other opinions...)

-Brian

My instinct & your instinct should hang out sometime.

I would bet any non-straight completing diamond.

Getting checkraised when you could get there for free bites.

I'd bet a straight-completing diamond, too. You have 9 outs to beat a straight, and he's fairly likely to fold a single pair or worse to your bet.
