My first MTT, Do you guys have any pointers?

Hey guys\gals,

I mostly play full table ring games at my local B&M at the 3/6 and 10/20 level. I started playing online STT at party about 4 to 5 months ago and have been doing fairly well at the $5+1 level. I plan on playing my first MTT in a couple of weeks and was wondering what kind of strategic adjustments I should be making and when. Heres is the format of the tourney, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Initial buy in is $20.00 for 800.00 in chips

Unlimited buy backs for first hour at $10.00 for 800.00 in chips

Bonus buys at end of first hour at $10.00 for 1500.00 in chips

Blinds will start at 5-10 and increase every 20 minutes

I just played in my first live MTTs last weekend, when hubby took me to Vegas for my birthday. My advice is to play MTTs online to get some practice in. I found that I felt pretty comfortable since I had been playing tourneys online, even though I have only played live poker a few times and never in a tourney before. You can find lots of low buy-in MTTs online.

As for strategy, I will let the experts give you that kind of advice.
