The Pianist is okay.

Replace Amelie with Alizee (http://www.transbuddha.com/mediaHolder.php?id=30).

I thought the Pianist was great.
City of God is awesome, as is Monster. Eyes Wide Shut is one of my favorites. Secret Window is meh, it's worth watching if you have nothing else to do though.

the only movies worth seeing are the gambler and

Equilibrium Haven't seen it

In America Awesome. If you don't almost cry when the girl sings at the school pageant you have no soul

City of God Awesome. If you like this, see "Amores Perros."

Monster Somewhat overrated but worth seeing for Charlize Theron's performance. If you're interested, check out the two Nick Bromfield documenatires about Aileen Wuornos.

Secret Window Haven't seen it.

The Pianist Haven't seen it.

Rabbit-Proof Fence Haven't seen it.

Amelie Saw it once but I was really drunk. If you liked this you'll probably like "When the Cat's Away."

My Life Without Me Haven't seen it.

Eyes Wide Shut Absolutely incredible, misunderstood, and underrated. Much better than most people give it credit for. Stands up to multiple viewings.

The Fog of War Erroll Morris at his best.

Y Tu Mama Tambien Muy picante!

Spider See above post.

Seabiscuit Haven't seen it.

City of God Very, very good movie

Eyes Wide Shut I didn't like it. I though it tried to hard to be a deep, thought provoking movie, and instead just left me confused

Y Tu Mama Tambien I liked this movie a lot

Spider Kirsten Dunst is hot, and Tobey McGuire is good a joke, chuckle

Seabiscuit Same as above, only no Dunst to be hot

You realize that her snaggletooth makes her hotter, right?

i personally dont find her 'hot' by hollywood standards. i mean by real life standards she is good looking i suppose, but even then i think shes just OK.

All I could do was think of the Seinfeld episode where the guy has Desperado as 'his song'.

And you really need to see Equilibrium.

Was she good enough for a $600 champagne?

Most of the movies you listed I have never heard of.

I did see Seabiscuit - Good
I did see The Piainst - Good
I have heard about 'Eyes Wide Shut' plan to see it one day. Before I die.

City of God? That theological monstrosity St. Augustine wrote a book by that title. Read something else instead.

Aren't you presently reading some tome?

Zeno,

If you're being serious, you need to see City of God.

Doubt you'll like Rabbit-Proof Fence, but I only know you from twoplustwo, so... It's a fairly fascinating story in itself, but I guess the telling of it gets kind of boring. Lots of wilderness. Didn't find it too touching either.

Agree with consensus on City of God.

Pianist is the best movie I've seen, drama-wise

Zeno
03-21-2005, 10:30 AM
Ok. It's on my list.

Zeno's to see movie list.

1. City of God
2. Action Girls
3. Lesbo Nurses Vol. III

-Zeno

Seriously, I'll see it then post a review.
