so I am talking to my brother Greg on MSN MSG when this appears

Greg says:
Your buddy has a new Buddy Icon. Take a look! http://buddies.funbuddyicons.com
@Icon:none@

Only my brother Greg didn't write it. Oh one other thing when I copied and sent it back to him in the chat saying WTF? It would not show up in his chat I had to cut and paste line by line.

WTF is going on?

Edit: I use Firefox for a browser and have Norton Internet security installed.

I think first you have to explain why the [censored] you have MSN on your computer. If you really need to talk to people on it, use trillian instead.

My previous employer used it. Thus all my friends from work use it. Never heard of trillian. I am guessing it's the firefox of messangers?

It's one chat program that can log you into MSN, ICQ, AIM, yahoo, all using one easily-modified buddy list.

I have two guesses.

1. Opera is better than Firefox, and therefore Trillian is better than Gaim.

2. Firefox is better than Opera, and therefore Gaim is better than Trillian.

I'm going to guess the latter, although I could be wrong. I use Gaim and Firefox and am very happy with these selections.

Firefox is open source. Gaim is open source.

Opera is shareware. Trillian is shareware.
