Second gets none...

How is a tournament where all the money is won by #1 played best? (I play these tournaments with 5 people total, so second getting their entry fee back would take a large % of money out of the winner's winnings)
I've won 2 out of 4 in the past two weeks.

I play some 5 player games with my friends and we usually do 2nd gets buy back, but winner takes all is hardly diffrent.
I really dislike winner takes all when its above 5 players though, because it favors lucky doubles up to much.
