Yeah, you could slowplay, but your line is fine.

What's the problem. You were way ahead on the flop.

SB only has a flush draw and is making a pure semibluff, figuring you don't have a king and will fold.

You played it by the book and got all the money in with the best hand.

What's the buyin?

Sort of an unrelated comment.

First, I think your play was reasonable, though I may have tried to be all-in pre-flop. Yours is clearly not fish-like.

My guess is that SB is of the belief that anyone who doesn't have an A should fold whenever he represents one. Hey, all my bluffs should work too.

However, even if you were, it seems to me that calling another player a fish is either (1) trying to play a head game or (2) tapping the tank, which has got to be -ev. I'd much rather commiserate with someone makes bad bets and loses as to how he screwed up.

Yes. This post was mainly for the villain. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I placed 8th in the tourney, so I am happy. (My first 2+2 tourney ever!)

I didn't even read your post, but usually when I get called a fish, it means I've done someting right.

If I get called an idiot or a moron, it usually means I've done something really right.

maybe all the fish that I think are morons are really amazing players doing things I don't even understand /images/graemlins/wink.gif

There are no circumstances -- none whatsoever-- under which a non-moron calls another player a fish.

In your shoes, I would be happy with the result (getting my money in as a favorite), but obviously not the outcome.

Fish term I believe was mentioned by a player in jest, as was my comment for him to only play AA for set value...hand imo was played well by both players

Makes all the difference in the world if both players knew it was in jest ...

I feel I can comment now!

I fealt that the raise and the post flop bet after the check was with a hand like AQ / AJ QQ or JJ

With that in mind I felt that the 300 bet looked weak and chose to go over the top with the check raise to the flush draw.....

The fish comment was Im sure in jest and I think that knowing what the cards were now and not knowing the opponents cards we both played the had correctly (as there are many ways to play a hand!)

Good flops all
