won a ticket to this earlier this morning - has anyone here ever played in it? what's the quality of players usually like - i dont typically play on pokerroom but every time i have, including this morning's satellite, the players were terrible.... calling off most of their stack with bottom pair second kicker, etc... wasn't terribly difficult to win the seat

also is the blind structure in this tourney the same as their others and are the levels still 12 minutes? thanks guys /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I just won a ticket to it too. The players in the Prix are pretty good after the first 100 or so get eliminated. And yes the blind levels are still 12 mins. No antes though. Whats your nick there?

The tightening up near the bubble at pokerroom seems to be more prevelant then other sites. I wish Pokerroom went to 15 minute levels for their tourneys, it seems to catch up about 1.5 hours in and the majority of the field is shortstacked.

Yeah, you just have to adjust. Alot of times people will get desperate and you get alot of crazy play. I used to play only on PokerRoom. I recently started playing at Stars, and while their tourney structure IS much better, they take alot more time than pokerroom. The Stars tourneys, especially rebuys, seem like they take forever for me.

tough 1. I'm at 5.4K after a couple of uncontested and my flopped set surviving 2 allins from flopped Aces.

just saw the hand you busted out on - tough right before the money too, good game though

Got busted 45th (top 40 pay) when my AQ hearts ran into KK. No help even though i flopped the flush draw. Maybe i should have thrown the AQ away. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Yeah, now I'm second guessing myself, maybe I was in too early a position and too close to the money to push with AQ suited. But you saw how short i was.

What would you have done?

you did the right thing, it just so happens the other stalling short-stack right next to you woke up with KK - you were 42 out of 45 left so you still had a little work to do to make the money - good decision, bad result
