I saw someone post a picture of an entire set of them sometime. Where the heck do you buy these? They rule!

Those were NexGens with custom labels.

Uhh, I'm a poker chip newbie. Are labels some cheapo post on stickers or something stamped into the actual chip? Where can I buy these?

They are these chips:

NexGens (http://www.5stardeal.com/deals/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=10-8000)

I am not sure who made the labels for those particular chips, but there are a couple sellers on eBay that will make them, and a couple posters here as well (they may be the same people, I don't know). There are many posts here on how to properly apply and protect the labels.

Those were put on the 13g chips. I printed them but did not do the design. If you are interested in labels feel free to drop me a pm or email and I will help you out.

Oops, I am just a fountain of misinformation today.

Those would be these then:

13g "Casino" Chips (http://www.5stardeal.com/deals/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=10-1500)

And apparently we found our label maker.

There is no way to get those stamped into the chip?

Stamp, no. Inlay, yes. With all the different art and setup charges I think you'd probably be in the range of $1.50 a chip. You could do either chipcos or clay chips for that price.

If you really want MTG chips, you should come up with another design and have one of the label makers do it. I'd hate to have to flame someone for copying another's design exactly /images/graemlins/wink.gif I like my nexgen chips but you should get some samples before buying a whole set.

I'd rather have the MtG playing cards. Saw an ebay link for them in a "What not to buy for poker players" thread. All I could think about was how much they rocked.

I think these chips (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=home&Number=1845962&Forum= f10&Words=&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Main=1845962&Sear ch=true&where=bodysub&Name=10847&daterange=1&newer val=1&newertype=m&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#P ost1845962) are the ones you are talking about. I designed them, but had them printed by Jason, who I'd highly reccomend.

Those are great man. How durable are the labels? Is it basically just a sticker? How long do they hold?

I bought vinyl ones from onlinelabels.com which should hold up for a long time. They are more expensive, but I think they are worth it. Otherwise you can get the paper ones and spray that Krylon stuff on them. One of the label guys would know better then I.

What did the price come too alltogether for the chips and labels?

By the way, thanks for all this info. I really appreciate it.

Not bad, man.

I just want to tell you how great of a job I think you did with those designs. I'm an old MTG player, and was following the design progression when you first started with this idea.

Very nice.

Thanks a lot; I didn't realize how many other former mtg'ers there are on here.

pogs, mtg, poker chips - stunner!

(no pogs for me - still have 3 black lotus and some moxen in a binder somewhere)

You should find those and sell them. They're worth a lot.

I'll take them off your hands /images/graemlins/smile.gif!

I haven't played in ages but I have a black lotus and 2 moxes and realised that they are worth a fortune now! Unlimited Black Lotus is worth around $700 - $1000 on ebay, depending on the condition.

if you are worried about the labels coming off, you don't have to. if you apply them correctly and spray the krylon, they should last for a long time.

Ok, those chips are awesome. I'm a big enough nerd to end up getting those.
