Villain is a total lag, just sat down, any two cards. I have about 7k in front, he has about 1.5k. I pick up QQ late after several limpers and make it 125 he and another guy call. Pot is about 400.

Flop comes 872r

Checked to me I bet 300, he calls

Turn is a 3

I bet 600, he calls

River is a 4.

He bets 400 all in, or roughly around there. I have no idea what to think, his straight just got there, he could have two pair, a set anything, just calling my bets all the way. I fold. Pretty bad getting like 4 or 5 to 1 on my money huh?

If you are going to bet 600 into a guy w/ a stack of 1000 on the turn you might as well just put him all-in. I know an arguement can be made that you could gain some value by betting it in two chunks but you have no idea where you are at in this hand. It would have been different had you had a monster.

obviously, he expects you to put him all in on the river. good place to jam his A8, TT, etc.

although i dont think this fold is that bad, but its definitely -EV.
