I think it's close, because KU was a first round loss to an even lower seed. Still, this game was a huge upset.

WVU saved the Big East from potential embarrassment.

After BC lost I really thought there was a good chance the Big East would be shut out from the Sweet Sixteen. We still have shots with Nova and UConn today to make it 3 teams, but I don't like either teams chances. I think UConn is too young and weak with guard play (Williams is hurt and there is NO ONE else). They could rock next year though assuming no one leaves early.

I watched the game in a sports bar in charlotte. Prosser got outcoached. The talent he has had the last three years and to go to the sweet 16 once? ridiculous. Anyway, I told everyone I was scared of WVU that morning. It was tough to see my Deacs fall like that, but they really are one big disappointment, from top to bottom. Except for Taron Downey. I want to have his kids.

I'll write a trip report about the first round in Charlotte later.
