Ah, the Gods of Poker. JJ doubles up with his 99, I push my 8BBs over a weak limper and get called by AK and lose the race. Right move, wrong result.

Just for fun--immediately after I go into a $30 S&G to get my groove back, get rockets on the button the first hand, raise t400 over 6 limpers (t15 each), get reraised allin and call--and lose to KTs. Happens all the time, I know, it's just random cards on the board, but let me tell you, a test of my positive attitude.

Anyway, good luck, all.

not to turn this into a strategy thead..but..

now that your a huge leader on your table, do you..

1) lower your raising standards
2) increase your calling raises standards

People are going to be waiting for big hands to try to double off of you, so you need to have a stronger hand to call them, right? or is it the opposite as a chip leader

I think my image here is more or less rock solid. Essentially, I plan to put people for diecisions for all their chips and make them sweat the call.

EDIT: like the AK vs 99 hand from earlier

Jax_Grinder
03-20-2005, 03:01 AM
Short answer is:

1) Yes,
2) It depends. One reason you can call with more hands, in part, is because you have the chips to push 'em off when the flop misses both of you.

ShootingAce
03-20-2005, 03:09 AM
