I'm pretty sure you know this, because of post count.
Check, because:
-your only backdoor is to a straight at 0.5 outs, and it's not the nuts as it may contain flush cards.
-you've only got an ace as your overcard
-the flop is co-ordinated, so people will call.
-you're in first position
-you've got a bunch of loose callers
There's 4 of them in there with you, you've only got a backdoor perfect perfect straight: 0.5 outs roughly, other than your overcards.
The flop is co-ordinated.
----
I check here, and then I don't know what to do if there's a bet. I really don't like the winning chances of this hand and I'd actually have to say check-fold.

If you think you'll fold the field one in nine times with a bet, then bet. If not, check/fold.

How would a check/call or fold go depending on the action. I dont like leading out as its a drawing board and the risk of being raised is high.
If theres alot of action fold, if not have a look at the turn but i dont like you spot here as u may only have 2 clean outs

I'm torn between checking, then folding quickly to a bet, and checking, pausing for a while, then folding.

Pausing for like 5 seconds is key.
This is just something I had trouble with when I was ridiculously hyper aggressive (as opposed to just regular old hyperaggressive, like now).
Autobetting the flop because you raised pf is a terrible leak to have.

I might bet this flop if:
I had good position (could take a card on the turn and see what develops).
There were fewer opponents.
I had a read on the field as being very weak tight.
