Hi. I'm doing pretty well in tournaments, but when it gets down to heads-up, I keep getting ripped apart. Is their any good resources on strong heads-up play? Any suggestions on a system to try out?

Here's something on SH by Jason Pohl (http://www.pokerpages.com/articles/archives/index.htm#pohl) , some of it may help.

You're forced to play a lot of marginal hands HU, and if the blinds are super high, you should be stealing a lot. So basically, be more aggressive.

Try to find a weakness or mistake that your opponent keeps making, and exploit that. Mistakes include not being aggressive enough (take free cards), folding too much (bully him), not folding enough (value bet), and bluffing too much (showdown marginal hands more often).

If your opponent picks up on your play, vary it.

im no heads up specialist or anything, but i think that a good rule to go by is that if after 30 minutes you cannot find a pattern weakness that your opponent has, you should probably find a new game. in order to beat somebody heads up, you need to find something that they are doing too much of, and exploit it as the previous poster mentioned.
