No quite sure how to play this after the flop. I put MP3 on a big overpair so I thought calling down would be okay. Should I have considered folding?

i wouldn't. thats a big friggin pot my friend...

i'd have 3-bet the flop, and led the turn if he called, called down from the turn on if he capped the flop. mainly because i want to show down for 2 bb.

3-bet the flop. If he has overcards he'll slow down, if he's got 99-AA he's most likely going to cap. If capped, call down, if the 3 bet is called, lead the turn.

I wouldn't cap preflop.

Reasons why: I'm in the SB (my position sucks). I'd really like to see if UTG caps.

Postflop is kinda tough. It's hard to see MP3 playing a hand you beat this way, but it's possible it could be TT or the other JJ. Calling down isn't too bad.
