I don't play much NL I'm more of a limit player. This is my first time playing NL200. No reads.

Hero ($195.45)

UTG ($61)
MP ($223.4)
CO ($789.45)
Button ($157.25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif. Hero posts a blind of $1.
4 folds, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($4) 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $2, Hero calls $2.

Turn: ($8) 3/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $4, Hero raises to $10, BB raises to $25, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $43

I check call the flop with the intension of check raising the turn. when he reraises my check raise I put him on a 3. I thought it was even more likely he had a 3 because he bet the min the flop. Good laydown or is this way too weak?

In battle of the blinds I usually bet the flop like 75% of the time. I'd certainly bet this one too. If I suspect my opponent is sick of me stealing, then I'll plan to check-raise most turn cards. But on this particular turn card I would probably have to change my plan, since if he's calling me with any pair then there's a 1/3 chance that he just made trips. Your situation on the turn is a little bit different since he could have been bluffing on the flop... however, if he is bluffinng then he certainly won't call a raise and is likely drawing dead, so raising has no value. If you play a big pot right now your opponent will probably fold if he does not have at least a three. So I'd try to play just a small-medium pot here. Don't do stuff that will scare away most worse hands.

your flop call was incorrect..should have bet at least the pot on flop...don't give your opponent the chance to see that 3 on the turn...

flopping mid-low two pair is about the most need-to-be-protected hand out there....bet bet bet

(other than my tournament 8h 9h on a flop of 10d Jd Qd)

he showed 94o. I cant expect then to make these plays very often at this game, right?

Well-played by the 300BB big stack. At $1-$2 the players start getting tougher.

If you are a limit player by experience I suggest you start at a smaller level, 50 or 100NL. The 200NL games are populated by some excellent players.
