my roommate does...i watched part of their dvd with him and the quality was really crappy so i went and played poker...didn't care too much for the music either...

I don't think the live DVD is a good introduction for non-fans. Most live performances are geared toward the already-initiated.

If a band cant cut it live and cant convert the unintiated from playing their music then they dont deserve to sell any records imho.

Primus is awesome. The only band I orignally liked when I got into music, and still listen to.

I haven't seen Primus since '97, around the time when Brown Album came out, but they were awesome live. Unparalleled in terms of their genre, and a surprisingly versatile, great band.

Pork Soda came out in '93 and was what truly propelled Primus to fame (THPS was released in '99), although I'll grant you that Sailing The Seas of Cheese was a huge hit as well. Most would say "My Name Is Mud" is their most famous song (although certainly not their best).

Primus is probably the most underrated band in the world. Or, they were. After Tim left, they went downhill. Has anyone heard the new [censored] with the original lineup? They made an EP called "Animals should not try to act like people," which sucked.

Frizzle Fry is their best album IMO, despite being claypool's worst vocal performance by far. "wynona's big brown beaver" is definitely the song that is responsible for whatever mainstream success they have.

Has anyone heard colonel claypool's bucket of bernie brains? Is it good?

Primus is sweet. I just listened to Frizzle Fry today.

The inspiration for your avatar/location ain't too shabby either. Probably my 2 favorite bands still making music.
