Full table, no read on the BB.

Folded to hero in the SB with 87s.

I like to gamble in the SB for half a bet so I would complete and fold to a raise. Any 2 cards can win.

So you would rather put in two small bets before you fold.

it is very rare to put money into the pot voluntarily preflop and have folding for one more bet be correct. this is definitely not one of those times.

1/2 bet to complete h/u is the same odds as calling a raise when it's 1 bet back to you. You're getting 3-1 on both. Don't complete if you're not willing to call a raise.

Worse implied odds. Mind you, I rarely complete then fold, esxcept with something like K9, A6.

Yeah, completing and then folding to a raise is pretty bad. The only time I'll even complete is if I know the BB is loose and passive and will hardly ever raise and almost always call my raise.

Of what? The calling of the raise?

J.R.

yes. completing you put in .5 sb, calling the raise you put in 1 sb

Raise. If you're not reraised, bet any flop.

If you don't have a read on a player (and they don't have a read on you), this is my preferred way to play any hand that gets folded to the sb. If nothing else, you'll have a read on the player after the hand...

would you take this line with 34o instead of the stated 78o? That seems pretty risky to me...

I take this line with any hand in this spot - but I'm a total LAG!! lol /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I ask if the player wants to chop and take back my small blind. Wait, I don't know if you can do that online.

I would complete if I had to, but would prefer a chop /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
