This seems to be the metal band that "thinking" fans think are the best thing going, just listening to their new album and still cant change my opinion of them that they are total [censored]. Boring repetative riffs, out of tune guitar solos just nothing there.

I just dont understand the loyalty of the fans and the status this band is held in.

The point of the band is basically to see how not 4/4 a 4/4 can sound. This is a pretty lame concept. Also they are Allan Holdsworth wannabes with their solos, and he sucks more than those guys with coconuts that yall like to post everywhere.

i think they are pretty good. i don't listen to them much, but i can appreciate them. the stuff they do is pretty difficult. i'd mainly just like to see them live.

I saw them live in 2001 when they were opening for Tool. They were pretty bad, of course maybe they just sucked compared to Tool.

I also saw them when they opened for Tool. I hadn't heard of them prior to that. They seemed pretty cool for the first couple of songs, but it quickly turned into sheer boredom. All the songs blended together. I can listen to a lot of heavy metal but there was just nothing in their songs that interested me. And it didn't help that they had a really bright light that kept flashing randomly (and frequently) throughout many of the songs. However, I was impressed that they were actually able to memorize and perform all the songs so well, since there appeared to be no patterns or repetition in any of them. Just lots of random synchopation (sp?).
