What do you think is the best way to do it, these guys have been playing in the 20s lately, and I've been getting outdrawn by them alot.

Make them pay their whole stack to call.

Edit: There is another option that I use but don't recommend, and that is to wait until the turn to push.

If you mis-use this concept, you'll do more harm than good.

[/ QUOTE ]I used my whole stack, and he called with a 4 flush on the turn, and rivered the flush. I know as time goes on I will make money due to this, just pisses me off being in 4th place and not making the money.

To add my 2 cents to lori's post:

all depends on the type of misunderstanding of pot odds they have, i suppose.

if they will call off whole stacks in small pots with a gutshot, well then, just bet a whole lot all the time when you have a hand.

if they will call just a bit too much, well, bet just a bit too much more than they should call.

short answer: value bet loose opponents.

you're winning that hand what, like 80% of the time or some junk? clearly you know you played it just fine. better luck with the poker gods next time.

He will probably be begging loose change at pokerstars final tables soon. Console yourself with that thought.

You nailed it right on. Make them call your whole stack on a 4:1 shot. If they never drew out every fifth time they'd never call the other four. I like to exploit pot odds on the flop, where the pot is small enough it looks tempting to call that gutshot, but oh so incorrect into my pot-sized bet. Wear your bad beats like a warrior wear his battle scars.

I've been playing a lot of 20+2s lately and have noticed thee same thing. I've found that betting slightly more than the pot odds they need to call (when you don't want them to call) is very +EV. When they call you win. When they fold you win. I make all preflop raises 4.5 to 5 time the BB, as well.
