I was in a real fish bowl tonight so I decided to see how bad they really were with this hand.

Flop: (8.50 SB) J/images/graemlins/club.gif, 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, CO calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) 4/images/graemlins/club.gif (4 players)

UTG+1 bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls.

Final Pot: 12.25 BB

Results in white below:
UTG+1 has Ad Td (high card, ace).

Two questions:

(1) Do you always raise pocket 2s?

(2) How did you arrive at the conclusion that raising a player who came alive on the river when the fourth card of a suit that you didn't have showed up is a +EV move? I realize that you got him this time, but how often do you think that someone betting into you in a similar situation is going to have absolutely nothing?

According to the wording in his post, he wasn't doing it for EV, he was doing it to prove a point.

Edit: If you feel like proving any more points, you are welcome to come sit at my table.

This is pretty much the standard line for 22.

I don't think you got the point of this post =)
It is just a very funny outcome, nothing more and nothing less /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I did it because...
(1) I had just taken down a pot for $26.50 at a .5/1 game.
(2) PokerTracker and GT+ showed my table as Me, 7 fish, 2 mice.
(3)I was bored.
Right now I am rated as a /images/graemlins/smile.gif Semi-Loose Agressive Agressive with a BB/100 of 8.50 with 31,646 hands at this limit. I know that is a High BB/100 and I am sure that it will correct itself before I get to 100,000 hands (but if it doesn't I sure won't complain).

Think of the way you played this hand the next time a loose passive sucks out on you on the river when you had the nuts at the turn /images/graemlins/crazy.gif
