I suppose a good player lays this down? We're on the bubble. One of these new step tourneys at PP. 1st and 2nd advance up one. 3rd gets freeroll at same level.

It was first hand at this blind level.

call. blinds are too high for you to be looking for better hands than AJ

Thanks guys. At least I feel better about how I played it. That's just poker. Second time I ran into QQ that night on all-in, lost w/AK.

Good call. You have every reason to think that he is trying to steal your blinds.

Easy call. AJ is a premium hand at this stage. For this not to be a call, he'd have to be only playing something like PPs, A8+, K-face suited. Since he's still around, he's either had an amazing run of cards or been playing a much larger range of cards (it's obviously nearly always the latter).

agreed. call and expect to be miles ahead.

folding here is the moral equivalent of giving up. unless blinds are incredibly easy to come by at your table, this is a no brainer.

I usually call this (not always, see other replies).

Just for future reference, it helps a little if you can cut the actual result out of your post.

No matter how hard people try to be neutral, knowing what happened often leads to a little aftertiming.

If it's particuarly interesting, you can post the results maybe 24 hours later or so.
(Actually, you can post them when you like, I'm only trying to be helpful /images/graemlins/blush.gif )

Although it really supports an opinion when we all say to call whilst knowing the opponent has QQ!
