Party $400 NL $4 BB
table is very passive and for some reason my raises have been getting a ton of respect. within the past 10 hands i have had JJ in late position and raised to $20, all fold; and AA in MP raised to $15 (which is generally the standard raise at this limit in my experience) and all fold.

I have AcAd in MP with $450
I minraise to 8 (not my usual play, just based on table context)
SB ($500) raises to $30
folded to me
I raise to $75
he calls
flop

is A 10 6 (2 diamonds)

I bet $30 (pot is about $150)
he folds

looking back at this, is it a bad idea to check the flop? I
have top set and the ace of diamonds. on the other hand I only bet 20% of the pot. it seems to me he most likely is putting me on aces, so how do I play them? Thanks

Use your standard raise. If they're folding to your raises, just raise lots of hands, don't adjust your raise size.

As for the flop, either you're getting action or you're not. So bet pot or close to it.

unless youre putting him on unpaired non-ace broadway cards (KJ/KQ/QJ) this is not a bad spot to give a free card. basically could you induce him to bluff, or try to let him hit something significant, i just dont see how he could have much here.

if youre upset with taking this pot down so easily, why not make it more preflop or just call?
