I drove through Oregon on my way to Montana in August. along the way I picked up a crazy lady hitchhiker. she claimed that there were Al-Qaeda cells all up the Oregon and Washington Coast. Of course I thought she was nuts at the time but now I'm not so sure.

The Washington-Oregon and into Northern California coast line is one of the most unprotected ocean areas of any developed nation. It is mostly rural, spacious coast with limited law enforcement and almost no military presence except the coast guard, who's main purpose is helping fishermen, what's left of them. The economy is in shambles and has been for 10 years or more. By the way, the coastline area is exceptionally beautiful and has great sport fishing. I visit my parents at least once a year, near Port Orford, Oregon - A rural and fishing paradise. As for terrorist cells - well, I just do not know. What is a terrorist suppose to look like or be doing anyway?
