On the Trio Cable Channel this evening, I just saw The MC5, Live at the 100 Club. As you all know, Sonic Smith is dead, so they had the following guest vocalists: Dave Vanian (The Damned), Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead), and Ian Astbury (The Cult).
It really sucked, and it wasn't the sound guy's fault.
The problem is that all of these guys are old and bloated and really cheesy now. The MC5 were all old and half a step slow, but not actually cheesy, but they sucked pretty good, too.
Anyway, now I have to go to hell.
