I would have 3-bet the flop and called down if capped.

Maybe lead the turn just to be absolutely sure its AA.

Edited cause I can't form my ideas into sentences for some reason.

Yeah. You don't have get into a spew fest on 4th and 5th street, but at least give it something more then this. No one says you have to cap all streets but this is weaksauce. I can see him letting out a /images/graemlins/confused.gif when he rolls over his JJ.

I agree with the 3 bet.

EDIT* I meant what if we get raised. Sorry bout that.

Hero is first to act, we can't get checkraised on the turn.

If you mean should Hero CR the turn... its an option, but not a good one. It would be disastrous if it was checked through on the turn. I'd prefer a SnG on the turn to a CR.

Yeah I just edited my post, For some reason I accidently put checkraise instead of raised. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I agree, that was some weak-ass-play. Sorry for letting 2+2 down. I repent father, I repent. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Jam as many chips as humanly possible into this pot.

You need to fly off the handle on this one. He 3-bet and called your cap PF, so there's not a 5 within a mile of his hand. The only pocket you're losing to is AA, while I'd put the range of his possible hands all the way to TT and maybe even AKs (suited to one of the flop cards).

"3-bet here? And if capped called down to the river?"

I think u said it best yourself. U are only behind to aces. No hand with a 5 in it is 3-betting preflop.

ihardly know her nailed it.

yes, AA will raise this flop, but so will 99/tt/JJ/QQ (other possible pre-flop 3 betting holdings).

you lose equity by not getting more in on the turn, and of course you will see a showdown here 100% of the time, even if an A falls.

3 bet the flop.

Bet the turn even if villian caps the flop. Villian could be capping with JJ/QQ/KK/AA and maybe TT.

If you get raised on the turn, call down.

The only hands you're worried about on the flop are AA and 5x. Since hands containing 5's are not 3-betting hands PRF, I don't think there's cause for alarm yet. QQ-TT would play this the same way. Make it three bets on the flop, and if capped, you could even think about leading the turn and call down if raised.
