Well..... $2.55 9/10ths /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I noticed after I started pumping and almost freaked out because I thought I chose premium.

I was very dissapointed in myself for picking this gas station instead of driving a few miles down the road to the Vons Club gas.

I got back into San Diego about an hour ago and saw my local gas station at $2.28 (I think). Craziness.

Could be worse

$3.05 in Malibu, CA (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=1756&e=2&u=/050315/480/la10303152352)

$2.83 9/10

People always forget that 9/10 of a cent they tag on the gallon of gas.

On Tuesday I went hiking in the Santa Monica National Recreation Area. I stopped in Malibu to get gas.

The price per gallon: $3.0599

Add to that the fact that the PCH is one lane near Topanga Canyon road and the following statement becomes true: the hike was beautiful, the trip was not.

For those in LA, there is this site (http://www.losangelesgasprices.com/).

You guys have no idea when you’re getting a good deal – price in Merrie Olde England is about $6.50 per US gallon. Admittedly our country is about the size of a cheeseburger and most of our cars would fit in the average Cadillac trunk, but even so...

It's about that or less in South Jersey. I'm not sure about North Jersey, but I would presume that it's slightly more expensive there.

i.e. you have to sit there for 10 minutes waiting for some greaseball to start pumping it for you when you could have done it yourself in 3 minutes.

If I'm not mistaken, if it weren't for taxes, gas in europe would be nearly as cheep as in the USA.

I read in the Detroit News yesterday that we've started drilling for our excess oil reserves in Alaska on some previously unallowed liberal hippie nature preserve. Those gas prices will go down soon enough. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
