Hello,

I have been playing poker online for a couple years, mostly party. I always see you guys talking about "rakeback" but I was never sure what that was. Does it have something to do with the affiliate program? I went to one of the ads on twoplustwo and they were offering some kind of program where I would get PSO points in lieu of cash for signing up with them. As much as I like party poker hats and jackets, I am much more interested in getting actual $$ back. Could someone explain just how to do that?

Thanks

PSO points are essentially exchangeable for cash VIA gift certificates (to shops or to PartyPoker, which can be deposited into your account and withdrawn as cash) PSO, as well as other rakeback sites, also offer pure cash rakebacks

Affiliates receive money from the site when you sign up and play under them. If they agree to give you some of the money back in exchange for you playing under them, that is a rakeback. Many people offer cash as opposed to points.
