Is anyone else here a fan of this movie? Just wondering if im some kind of lone nut. For those that don't know it, its a cult classic. It was made a few years ago by Troy Duffy, it was an indie. Storyline is a couple of Boston brothers go out and kill "evil" men becuase they feel they have been sent by God. has Willem Dafoe and the traitor bad guy from Blade 2 /images/graemlins/crazy.gif in it. If you haven't seen it, check it out.

Not to start up all the "gay" talk, but I never did quite understand why Willem Dafoe's character is gay.

Usually people are gay in movies for a reason, but I'm left without a reason for Paul?

This movie is extremely popular. Don't worry, you're not original for liking it.

I'm looking forward to the documentary coming out about the guy who made the film and the problems surrounding it.

decent film, but a sort of absurd story IMO.

This is what I was told when I said I didn't like Lost In Translation.

My response, "No, I got it, it just sucked."

i liked this movie, but unlike a napoleon dynamite fan, if you don't like it, i think that's ok.

I am as well. Considering all the [censored] the Matrix got.

Anyway, if you don't like this movie, then . . . . I suppose you think Fear of A Black Hat was just a socioeconomic commentary on the plight of gangsta rap and fashion. Pshah. as if.

kidding, reasonable people can and do differ, this movie isn't for everybody.

/images/graemlins/grin.gif i just have a thing against that movie (as apparently a lot of people do). I just know so many people in love with it and i've watched it like 4 or 5 times with some of my idiot friends and i just don't like it. it might be because they all take it so seriously, some of them take it WAY WAY too seriously, like quoting the movie when they play beer pong and calling themselves the boondock saints. these are the friends i don't really hang out with any more and who decided to work at subway instead of doing something with their life.

A decent movie but highly over-rated.

i dont like that either. its good as entertainment, but people who do that in real life are known not as saints, but nuts and psychokillers. not cool to imitate them

I thought that this film and Napoleon Dynamite were extremely entertaining...but what's not to get?

Man that's low. I liked this movie because it had guns it it. I'm always down for a shoot 'em up thrill. This movie appeals to those with a little too much testosterone or even a misanthrope.

Napoleon Dynamite appeals to losers that want to watch even bigger losers so they can either relate to them or feel good about themselves by comparison.

EDIT: James282 excluded of course.

Uh, perhaps just like in real life not everybody needs a reason to be gay? Some just are?

But yeah, the movie was eminently forgettable. I wast't actively bored/irritated a la Napoleon Dynamite, but it wasn't exactly a rocking time either.

Weird, I've never met anyone who's seen Boondock Saints and didn't like it.

It's alright, but just like so many movies it carries a pseudo-cult following with it, and becomes overrated quick.

What Ed said.

Of course, I'm Irish, so I'm down with the Irish versions of Charles Bronson.

I amazes me that there are several responses from guys who do not like this movie.

This movie is a damn good action/suspense movie.

i liked it pretty well. i always thought it was weird that one of the brothers in the movie was the dude from Powder. yeah...the movie with the albino bald guy. also, they're making a sequel (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0330083/) to boondock. not sure if that's a good idea, but has the same brothers actor-wise.
